Good Morning All

Good morning friends!I hope that each of you are doing great this Friday morning.I was shocked when I realized how long it had been since my last post.LOL! Time sure goes by in a hurry these days, must be true what my Granny used to say ...the older you get ,the faster time goes by.It has been a busy time here at home as my son is considering buying his first home.Hubby and I have been going with him to check out different homes, because he was unsure that he would spot any trouble areas. It still may be a bit before he actually purchases his first home but he is getting some experience at the procedure.

On top of that there have been a few more baby goats to arrive and of course it must happen during the coldest weather and that means a little extra care is needed. They are such tiny little ones when they are first born and so sweet.I will try and get few pics soon.

A big thanks for all the encouraging words on my first rug hooking project.I finished hooking  another one several days ago and had been hoping to get it bound .Since that does not seem to be happening I decided to go ahead and share it with you all.I saw a small embroidery transfer and like it so I drew my pattern from it,changing it slightly to  better suit my purposes. This small rug is approximately 12"X 26 ",an odd size I know but I wanted to mount it to the back side of the board that my large needle punch snowman is on.The design is more of a folk art style.
A special thanks to Margie of Hungry Hook Primitives ,she has been so kind and helpful through my learning how to hook.

I must say that I am really enjoying learning this craft. My settle needs something for the seat and I am thinking that a hooked rug just might be the thing.I still need lots of practice but it is getting easier as I go.Margie warned me that treasure hunting for wool was addicting and she is so right.I found a few pieces yesterday so today my plan is to wash and full them.

I am off to start my day and hope that you all have a wonderful weekend filled with family and friends.Hugs,Jen
