Last projects of 2013 ...part two.

Let's get on with the show and tell.I promise that there are not many more.I need to make wood hornbooks for each of these before I consider them finished.

This one is made to  fit on one of the small Altoid tins.
And last but not least of all is the ice skates tuck that I made for another dear friend.
So you see I told you we would go punching together.I do love to punch and have been drawing up a few new pieces for Spring.
As this  year closes I am working on a cross stitch design,it is the largest I have attempted.I am hoping to have it finished for Spring but it might just take me to Spring 2015 .LOL! Thanks for taking the time to check out my projects.

Happy New Year my dear friends! God Bless you all! I have no big plans for tonight other than stitching.Whatever your plans are I hope they go smoothly and safely.Blessings,Jen

Last projects of 2013 (sorry lots of pics)

It seems it is time for another year to end ,it flew by fast. As one year ends, it brings a chance for new beginnings for us all. While 2013 has been a struggle for many of us it has not all been bad.In everyday we can find the blessings if we choose to seek His love .His love sets us all free and makes it so much easier to handle the struggles that life hands us.When life hands me  a rough way to go I find so much encouragement from my many blogging friends.Thank you! There are a few fellow bloggers that have not been posting ,I pray that things line out for them soon and that if it is health related that they are healed soon. It is my hope and wish for you all that 2014 brings you all the best! Happy New Year my friends!

As it is the last day of 2013,it seems like a good time to share the last of  projects for this year. While my computer was broken I crafted.I craft on something at least once a day,if at all possible,it is my stress reliever.Well.... most of the time other than when I am cross stitching.LOL! I will get the hang of it someday, but till then,I will stitch  a while and remove stitches for a while. It will not get the best of me.Heheeheee! If nothing else perhaps it will help me develop patience.See a blessing in even my stitching struggles.

I  did a few  wool applique pieces....

The two holly tucks were gifts for a couple of friends.

This piece was based on  Lisa  Bongean pattern that I changed  a bit.

This pillow( my design) I made for my bedroom back in the Fall.I don't think I had shared it before today.

My snowpal  (my design) candle wrap.
.

A penny rug that I did to go in my bedroom. The lighter pennies are done in shades of gray.

A punching we will go ,a punching we will go.....you already know I am a punching fool so let's go see what I have been up to.These are all my own designs.
This was a gift for a dear friend! Top is with flash and the bottom without the flash.I mounted it on a little basket.

My first attempt at making a dimensional project.I used some of my overdyed threads for this project.

Design mounted on a paper mache box.

Need to mount this one to something.
Since this has became such a long post I will finish it with another post....Stay tuned.....Hugs,Jen

Late Christmas pictures

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas this year.It is hard to believe that it has come and gone already. Our Christmas was rather quite but is was so nice to watch my son and his grandfather interact together. They were able to spend a lot of quality time together. We had a great meal and lots of stories and laughter was shared. As you  know I have been experiencing technical difficulties,so I thought I 'd share a few of the shots of some of my Christmas decor .Better late than never I guess. LOL! Because of some personal issues ,most of my Christmas decorations did not get put out this year.Next year will be different,Lord willing, I am already making my plans on things  that hopefully will get made in the coming months.

As this year grows to a close I would  like to thank you all for hanging in there with me through a rough year. The wonderful friendships that I have made through blogging mean so very much to me! While we may never have or will meet face to face I carry you all in my heart .I  think of you even when I am not able to be online. It is amazing how when you hurt and are in need of prayers and a pick up that so many of you are there. My thanks and hugs to you all! I will be  back ( computer willing) in a day or so to share some of my projects.

Remember to be kind to yourself and those your love! Blessings,Jen

Merry Chrismas to all and a gift to share !

Good evening all, I am sure that like myself  you all are busy with last minute preparations. It is so hard to believe that tomorrow is Christmas Eve.Where in the world did 2013 get to? It is my wish that you all have a very Merry Christmas and a blessed 2014!

So sorry that I disappeared once more,it was my dratted computer! The thing finally died, well sort of ,the hard drive went out and I had to wait for the new one to come in.I am so blessed that my son was able to install it.The computer is  still  having a few hiccups but it will all work out in the end. I think instead of stressing over what I have missed on your blogs that I will start out fresh in 2014.LOL!

The very day that my computer died I opened my mailbox to a wonderful surprise from none other than my sweet friend Shirlee ! Boy, did I squeal with glee for I was sure   hoping  that I would find one of her beautifully stitched pieces inside and I was not disappointed. Shirlee is such a sweet and dear friend and her friendship is all I need but she has blessed me with a couple of keepsakes that are such treasures to me.Here is the newest one...
I love it! I put it in my hooked wool stocking and I think it looks just grand.LOL!
Thanks again Shirlee!

I will close with that as I have gifts to wrap and such things that tend to be left till the last minute calling my name.In the coming days I will share a few of the new projects that I worked on while my computer was dead.

Merry Christmas Friends! Remember to cherish each other and that the  best of Christmas memories are made by spending the day with those that we love!Material things come and go but the laughter and hugs shared are forever in our hearts. The greatest gift has been already given to us all ,for without Him there would be no season or reason. God Bless and Christmas Blessings,

Wonderful giveaways!

Good morning friends. It is a cold one here but I guess it is just that time of year.Hard to believe that Christmas is just right around the corner.Sorry about the disappearing act again, this time it is my laptop.Instead of visions of sugarplums dancing in my head ,I have visions of a wood chipper with me standing gleefully feeding it my laptop.LOL! Hmmmm, since Santa can't afford a new laptop for me,guess it better stay in my head .I am telling you though I have came close to throwing the darn thing over the last several days.Just when I think the kinks are worked out something else goes wrong.

I wanted to share the wonderful giveaway that I recently won from  Debbie of Woolensails blog.I was surprised that I won and was tickled to death with the goodies I received! It was like an early Christmas. Thanks so much Debbie. Please go over and check out her awesome blog. Here  are a few pics of my goodies.

I also received a kit from Ginger of Primitives by the light of the moon in the mail.Ginger generously offered a free kit to anyone willing to send their address. It is such a beautiful kit and I can't wait to get started on it.Please be sure to check out Ginger's blog and also her selling blog. Thanks so much Ginger.

My thanks to both of these lovely and so talented ladies.

I will do my best to be back in a couple of days and to visit your blogs. It has been  a lonesome  time without being able to keep up with you all.It only took me  a few hours of biting my tongue to get this post up.LOL! Trust me you don't want to know about the days I could not get into my email account. My thoughts and prayers are with you all, keep it festive and happy.Christmas Blessings,Jen

Fall Finishes

Good morning dear friends, hope that this day finds you smiling and in good cheer. Are you getting ready for turkey day? I shall head out to do my grocery shopping later on today , my list is  almost ready to go. I want to thank each of you that has left a comment on my last post,it means a lot that you take the time to read and leave me your thoughts. I so appreciate them, however due to some computer issues I have not been able to respond but will once the problem is lined out.

Since Thanksgiving is almost at hand I wanted to share a few new Fall pieces that I finished amongst the chaos of my life.It is always fun to create something new to display  for the seasons.I had a few more ideas but really didn't have the time to see them through. Maybe next year.LOL!

The first piece is a large punch needle design that I call "Pumpkin Hill" .It is my design and punched using a variety of floss and perle cotton .

I also punched this little acorn ,again my design and punched with a variety of floss and perle cotton.

Thought it was cute tucked in my old nail keg.

I have had this candle forever.I liked the shape of the glass container but not the color of the candle(it was a gift)so I decided to make a candle wrap for it .I used wool and thought it turned out okay.

Don't you just love Carol's mice? I am so blessed to own one, hope to add to my collection a little later on.LOL!

The last one is a cross stitch piece and for the life of me I can't remember the designer.I am so sorry but if I can find it I will give credit where it is due.
I displayed it on this little shelf thingy( I am so proper, heehee) next to a wonderful candle holder that was a birthday gift from a dear friend.
Well that is all the show and tell for today. Not a lot of projects completed but it was my get away when I could squeeze in a moment or two.May each of you have a happy weekend.Blessings,Jen
