November arrived as a pretty day here in Central Kentucky,it isn't too cool and the sun is shining. It is just so hard to believe that it is already November and won't be long till the big holidays roll around. This year has gone by in a flash, it feels like it should only be starting, not almost ready to end.Not a lot going on at home other than I am having a bit of fun with my needle punch. It is a good hobby for the cooler days we are getting now. Here is one that I finished a week or so ago ,it will be going to a friend as we are doing a swap.
I used a scrap piece of wood and cut it in the shape of an acorn for the backer board. It was a fun piece and I got to drag out my jig saw.
I would like to take a moment to say thank you for all the sweet emails I have received in response to my asking for prayers for Kitty and Jim.! They are so appreciative as I am,it really helps to know that so many folks are praying for them. So thank you from the bottom of my heart!
I would also like to say that my thoughts and prayers are with all of our East Coast friends as they deal with the aftermath of the snowstorm.I know many are still without power and it is hard to take care of the day to day living, such as showering and cooking with out electricity.Stay safe and warm if you can!Big hugs to you all!
I would also like to send out a big thank you to Laura of Rhodes Creations as she recently had a surprise giveaway. Well I was one of the blessed folks to win! You had the choice between one of Laura's sweet bread mixes or jam.I chose her Apple Spice sweet bread.I was not disappointed in that choice either! Can we just say yummy! I full expected to receive the dry mix but instead I got two baked loaves ,how sweet is that.Laura thank you so much ,myself and the family enjoyed it immensely! Please checkout Laura's blog if you haven't already ,because she is talented and so sweet! Here is the other blog that Laura has Laura's Little House.
Well I guess that is it for today. It won't be long till hubby gets home from work.Supper is homemade veggie soup and of course I need a piece of corn bread for mine.My Granny taught me to eat it that way years ago.LOL! Blessings ,Jen

Hi Jennifer :o) Whoa baby, that acorn needle punch on board is gorgeous! I love it :-)
I'm with you on prayers for the East Coast folks, and no power in this cold weather. I sure hope they're keeping snug and warm and get their power back on soon.

Your acorn is so pretty. The person who you swap with will be happy I am sure. Congrats on your giveaway win! Our electricity flickered many times during the storm but we were blessed to not loose it. Thank you for your thoughtfulness about Timmy. Those little pumpkins in my table centerpiece came from Walmart by chance you have a Walmart near you. Blessings!
