First of ,I want to apologize to Patti at Raspberry Lane Primitives ,she sent me a gift a few days ago and I am late blogging about it. I want to send a big thank you out to Patti ! She so kindly sent me some lemon balm to be able to make the Rhubarb Lemon Tea Bread recipe that she shared recently on her blog. Not only did she send some to make the bread but she also added a couple of plants for my garden.I am so excited to know that soon I can go to my garden and harvest fresh lemon balm.Thank you so much Patti ,whenever I see the plants I will think of you.
This has been a crazy week here at the old homestead , I think I have met myself a time or two while running around in circles . I hope you all have gotten more accomplished than I have been able to get finished.LOL! Oh well the world is still on its axis so I guess everything is okay.
I have been having problems with something catching and killing my chickens this week.It got one the first night then three the second night and last night we caged the rest up and set the cage next to momma's house thinking that would be a safe place for them.Momma was woken up at midnight by the chickens screeching ,something had tried to grab them through the door of the cage.So I am thinking a raccoon or a large stray cat.I will be setting traps tonight.
I just wanted to pop in and let you know I am still around ,just had a crazy week .I have managed to tangle with poison ivy once again and have to tell you that the ivy has won this round. My face on the right side is swollen and the right eye is swollen shut ,the left side of my face and eye are beginning to swell and I have it between my fingers . Ouch ! So if I fail to comment on your wonderful blogs that ill be the reason .I love to visit each of you and will do my best to stay up with your blogs in the next few days.
I will be posting a giveaway later on today hopefully so please check back . Have a great awesome weekend!Hugs,Jen

Oh man Jen - you have me itching and squirming in pain from here! Arrghhhh....me and poison ivy go back a long, long, way - as I child, I was hyper-allergic to it - I didn't even need to touch it and I would be covered in it. Finally end up getting the monthly shots....not fun. You have my sympathy....And STOP SCRATCHING!! ;o) Hope you catch whatever's after your chickies!!! Have a good weekend! Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
